The Atlanta Constitution
Mr. Cecil, age 55, of College Park, Ga., formerly of Randolph Co., Ala., passed 
away Saturday, December 2, 1989, at Emory University Hospital in Decatur. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 4, at Herren's Grove 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Ridley Parmer officiating. Burial will follow in 
the church cemetery. Mr. Gosdin is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Angie 
Stroud, Douglasville, Mrs. Lisa Putnum; College Park, Ga. and Mrs. Teresa 
Dozier, Atlanta; two sons, Michael Gosdin and Timothy Gosdin, both of College 
Park; his mother, Mrs. Thelma A. Gosdin, Woodland, AL; one sister, Mrs. Brooksie 
Harrington, Woodland, AL; two brothers, Buford Gosdin and R.L. Gosdin, both of 
Red Oak, Ga.; one grandchild. Mr. Gosdin was a native of Randolph Co., AL, has 
resided in College Park, Ga., for the last 29 years, he was a Diesel Mechanic 
for Coca Cola Bottling Co. Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of 
arrangements.
