Stephen (Whit) Gosdin 85 died Monday morning at City-County Hospital here after a 
long illness. Funeral will be at 3 pm today at Bethel East Baptist Church 
Randolph County Ala. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his 
widow Mrs. Byrdie Gosdin LaGrange, five daughters Mrs. J.C. Tenney and Mrs. 
George Stallings both of Atlanta, Mrs. Manley Hyatt Roanoke, Mrs. Robert Smith 
Gabbettville Ala and Mrs. Virgil Palmer Lanett Ala., six sons Roy and J.A. Gosdin 
both of Atlanta, Bunyan, K.T. and S.B. Gosdin all of LaGrange and R.E. Gosdin 
Montgomery Ala.
