Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mrs. Laurel Elizabeth Graben McCollum at Christiana church. 
Rev. B. W. Mathis and Rev. K. V. McDonald conducted the service with Blair 
directing. Mrs. McCollum was born June 2, 1865, and died Friday, Feb. 6, 1948, at 
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Coleman Denson at Barfield. She was the wife of 
the late John Oliver McCollum who died in 1918. Surviving are ten children, seven 
daughters and three sons; 40 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, four great 
great-grandchildren and one brother. Pallbearers were Claude Denson, Iverson 
Griffin, Jimmy Dingier, Jimmy McCollum, Curtis Griffin and Alvis Denson.
