OBITUARIES:

James A. Green

   (ROANOKE) James A. Green, age 67, of Rt. 3 Roanoke, died Thursday, Apr. 23, 
1987 at the Veterans Hospital, Tuskegee, after an extended illness.
   Mr. Green was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, a farmer, a veteran of 
World War Two and a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
   Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Mae Green of Rt. 3 Roanoke, 
and four sisters, Miss Emma Green and Mrs. Adele Eley of Roanoke, Mrs. Geneva 
Waugh of Anniston, and Mrs. Irene Cofield of Wedowee.
   Funeral services for Mr. Green were at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Midway 
United Methodist Church with the Rev. LaVelle Reynolds and Rev. Dan Keith 
officiating.  Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
   Pallbearers for Mr. Green were Tommy Perry, Larry Woody, Delmer Green, Benny 
J. Woody, Billy Tarver, Pat Waugh and Tommy Waugh.
   Benefield Brown-Service Approved Funeral Home was in charge of the 
arrangements.
