Ashland Progress
George Wesley Gregg, age 81, passed away at his home Thursday, May 8th. Funeral 
rites were conducted by the Rev. C. A. Murphy at Liberty Baptist Church on May 
10th. Blair Funeral Home in charge of arrangements with burial in the church 
cemetery, Mr. Gregg, a resident of Delta Rt. 2, is survived by his wife, two 
sons, Emory, Lineville Rt. and Clarence of Mlllerville. Three daughters, Mrs. 
Newt Chapman and Mrs. Henry Luker, Lineville; Miss Mary Esther Gregg, Delta. 
Pallbearers were Brinton East, Willard Fuller, Gay Taylor, Larkus Cofield, Perry 
Taylor, and Robert Cofield

Additional Comments:
George Wesley Gregg was born in Randolph County Alabama Sep 29, 1877, the son of
Mason M. Gregg and Pinnie Cofield. He married Ollie Bean. They lived just over 
the county line in Clay County Alabama. They are both buried at Liberty Church of 
Christ Randolph County Alabama.
