Mrs. Fannie Harmon, 53, died at her residence, Wedowee, Rt. 1 Wednesday morning, 
Sept. 10. Funeral services were held from the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church at 2 
o'clock Thursday afternoon, with the Revs. W. L. Reeves, Hobert Murphy and Dan 
Kirby officiating. Roanoke Funeral Home directed burial in Mount Pleassnt 
Cemetery. Mrs. Harmon is survived by four sons, Gordon, Oillie, J. D., and James 
Harmon, all of Wedowee, Rt l; four daughters. Mrs. Bertha Holloway and Miss Ora 
Pearl Harmon of Wedowee, Mrs. Eddie Henderson of Newell and Mrs. Vannie Dell 
Traylor of Woodland; four brothers, Rube, Ollie, John and Tommie Whaley, all of 
Wedowee, Rt. 4; three sister Mrs. Mattie Holloway and Mrs. Eula Young of Wedowee 
and Mrs. Cynthia Simpson of Albertville; is grandchildren and a large number of 
other relatives.
