OBITUARIES:

LOYD WILFORD HARPER

   (Wadley) Loyd Wilford (Bill) Harper, age 78, of Wadley, died in Randolph 
County Hospital on Monday, Sept. 1, 1986.
   Mr. Harper is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Norma Bailey of Abanda; one son 
Billy Harper of Roanoke; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and two 
brothers, Grady Harper of Rock Mills and Maynard Harper of Birmingham.
   Funeral services for Mr. Harper were conducted at 11 o'clock Wednesday 
morning, Sept. 3, from Beulah Congregational Christian Church, the Rev. E. G. 
Clark and the Rev. Ted Embry officiating, with burial in the Wadley City 
Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Jerry Hall, Fred Whaley, Braxton Garrett, Fred Pearson, 
Ronald Smith, and Bob Bailey.
   Quattlebaums's Brown-Service Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

[Bill, s/o Lemuel A. Harper & Wright Rita B., was preceded in death by two 
wives, Nora Louise Caldwell Harper in 1933 and Nell P. Harper in 1980.]
