Ministers J.W. Spradlin, Audreth Bailey, and J.C. Hunt officiating. The body of Mr. Harris was recovered from the waters of the Chattahoochee River near Langdale on Saturday. When the car that he and his wife and Emmett Hanner were riding plunged off the river bridge between LaGrange and Roanoke on Feb. 19, Mrs. Harris and Hanner were able to swim to safety but Harris disappeared.Searchers were unable to locate his body in the river near the scene of the accident. Additional Comments: Mrs. Horace Harris is my late Grandmother, Augusta "Anne" (Brown) Harris, she later married B.F. Carson of Wadley, Alabama, she was daughter of Rev. A.C. Brown and Lois Bailey Brown. Horace and Anne were from Randolph County, Alabama. I received a copy of the publication from one of the writers with the Randolph Leader Newspaper.
