The Revs. Bill Spradlin and James Parker officiated at the service. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Myhand Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Effie Brown Harris: three sons, Capt. Elton Harris, Ft. Benning, Ga., and Curtis and Clentis Harris, both of LaGrange: one brother Marion Harris of Bowdon, Ga. a sister, Mrs. Lola Hanner of Wedowee; a half-sister, Mrs. Offie Bowen of Wedowee; and nine grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Emmett Hanner, Charlie Hanner, W. C. Cofield, J. W. Morgan, John D. Harris and Doyl Hester. A retired textile worker and farmer, Mr. Harris was a member of the Church of Christ and lived most of his life in Randolph County.
