Services for Mrs. Myrtis Harvel, 79, of Wedowee were today at Levens Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Cloyse Johnson and the Rev. Leron Murphy officiating burial 
was in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Harvel died Thursday at East Alabama Regional 
Medical Center in Opelika. Survivors include her husband. W.C. Harvel of Wedowee; 
two daughters. Mrs. Mary Lene Nelson of Wedowee and Mrs. Reba Dean Rampy of 
Bremen. Ga. two sons. Billy Harvel of Roanoke and Bobby Harvel of Alexander City: 
10 grandchildren. 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Mrs. 
Harvel was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, a member of Cool Springs 
United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was retired from Handley Mills in 
Roanoke.
