HENRY B. HEARD IS LAID TO FINAL REST

Henry B. Heard, 72, died at his home in Newell, Route 2, Jan. 31, after an 
illness of two weeks. He was laid to rest in Poplar Springs cemetery Feb. 1, 
Rev. Jodie Henderson officiating. The funeral was directed by Brown-Service 
of Heflin.

He is survived by two sons, Cosby Heard of Temple, Texas and Joe Heard of 
Newell; one daughter Mrs. S.M. White of near Newell; a brother Tom Heard of 
Dawson, Ala., and a sister Mrs. Becky Chappell of Heflin, Route 3.
