Ashland Progress
Margaret Heath, colored, died at the home of her daughter, Grace Rutledge on 
Thursday, Jan. 3rd. She passed her 101st birthday a few months ago. Her husband 
survives her. The body was carried by Blair to Wedowee, her former home, on 
Friday for burial.

Additional Comments:
May 11, 1944:
Margaret Heath (colored) who resides with her daughter, Grace Rutledge on 
Talladega Road, will reach the age of 100 years on next Monday, May 15th. She 
perhaps, is the oldest person in this vicinity and is in very good health.

Note: She was buried in the Pauper Farms Cemetery.
