NEWSPAPER Issue of Friday, SEPTEMBER 17, 1880

Hon. W.D. Heaton died at his residence in Randolph county, Alabama on last 
Sunday morning the 12th inst., from typhoid fever. Randolph has lost one of 
her best, moral and upright citizens, which loss will be greatly felt by his 
many friends. He was an enterprising and energetic farmer, a kind father, a 
devoted husband and an orderly walking member of the Baptist church and Masonic 
fraternity. He leaves many friends and relatives to mourn his loss. A.C.S.
