Hester (LAFAYETTE RT. 1) Funeral services for Franklin J. Hester, 63, who succumbed to a heart attack, were held at Forrester's Chapel Methodist Church at three O'clock Monday afternoon, April 2, 1979. Officiating ministers were the Rev. Gordon Taylor and the Rev. E. G. Clark. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Hester, a resident of LaFayette Rt. 1, retired from the Fairfax Weaving Department three years ago. A native of Randolph County, he was a veteran of World War II, and a member of Corinth Christian Church. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Ethia Eiland of LaFayette Rt. 1, Mrs. Mary Will Alexander of Wadley, Mrs. Emma Phillips of Fairfax, Mrs. Ina Mae Mitchell of Monterey Park, Calif., and Mrs. Jimmie Knight of Wadley; four brothers, Bob Hester of Fort Worth, Tex., E. A. Hester of Wadley, Ford Hester of Romulus, Mich., and Bud Hester of Lanett; and a number of nieces and nephews.
