Tommy A. Hester, 82, of Rt 2, Woodland, died Nov. 5 in Cleburne Hospital at 
Heflin, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Hester, son of the late Rev. Joseph A. and 
Elizabeth Blythe Hester, was a retired farmer and a member Antioch Baptist 
Church Newell. He was a life-long resident of Randolph County. Survivors include 
nis widow, Mrs. Lucy Hester, to whom had been married 57 years; daughter, Mrs. 
Narlin Williams of Woodland; a son, Wallace Hester from Birmingham; five 
grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren and one brother, Herbert Hester of 
Woodland. Funeral services were conducted Monday at Antioch Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Golden Cofield, the Rev. Hollis Chambers and the Rev. T. D Notes 
officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Wynn Funeral Home of 
Bowdon, Ga., in charge. Pallbearers were Handley Lovvorn, J. C. Camp, Herber 
Haynes, James Ray Kirby, R C. Hester and Harvard McManus.
