Saturday-night. Hall of Wadley Lodge, No. 692, A. F. & A. M Roy M. Hodge was 
initiated in Wadley Lodge, No. 692 on Oct. 10, 1916. Passed October 21, 1916. 
Raised December 15, 1916, Departed this life January 27, 1923. Death loves a 
shining mark, has been illustrated in the taking of our young brother from us. 
His pleasant disposition, kind words and expression, unselfish service to 
others, true Christian character, his devotion to right and justice, his 
patriotic service to his brethren, his friends, his loved ones and his country 
marks the rapid progress this short life made to the goal of perfect manhood 
that life that lived to bless mankind. Resolved, that while mourning our loss, 
we humbly bow in submission to the will of Him whose ways are higher than our 
ways, who understandeth the secrets of the human hearts, and whose loving 
kindness cannot err. Resolved, that we resign our wills to the will of the 
Supreme Grand Master and praise His name for this Christian character, influence 
and inspiration we received from this short life. That we express to the family 
in this hour of their deep grief our sincere sympathy and feel assured that Roy 
will greet them in the resurrection of the true and pure. a mat a copy of these 
resolutions be spread on our minutes.
