HOLDER, SR. Friends throughout this section were saddened to learn last week of the unexpected death of the Rev. Charles B. Holder in Macon, Ga. Mr. Holder suffered a heart attack about ten o'clock Thursday morning, Nov. 1, and passed away early Friday morning in a Macon hospital. Vigorous at 73, he was leading a congregation of the Christian denomination in the erection of a new church building in a Macon residential section. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Holder entered the ministry from Lebanon Church. He had returned to this church on several occasions as homecoming speaker and revival preacher, most recently in August of this year. He was a resident of Roanoke for a time. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from the First Christian Church in Macon. Attending from Roanoke were Miss Martha Pittman and Mrs. E. C. Kirk, accompanied by Charles White of Talladega. Mr. Holder was buried in Richmond, Ky., the home of his wife. Surviving the Rev. Mr. Holder are four sons, James William Holder of Gadsden, Charles B. Holder, Jr. of New York State, Worth Holder of Sumter, S. C., and Harry Holder of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter Mrs. Doris Hope Willingham of Augusta, Ga.; one brother Will Holder of Bakersfield, Calif.; two sisters Mrs. Leola Madison of Birmingham and Mrs. Ora McClendon of Lamesa, Texas; and eight grandchildren. __________ Additional Comments: [Charles Burritt Holder is the son of William McGee Holder and Frances V.
