Roanoke Leader
George Hamp Holloway, 74, died at his home, 41 Piedmont Street, Thursday morning 
at 9:30. The funeral was conducted Friday morning at 11 at Mt. Pleasant, a few 
miles northwest of Wedowee, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. John 
Wilder conducted the funeral and Quattlebaum was in charge of the arrangements. 
The widow; three sons: Ellis, Abanda, J. D. and Demmons, Roanoke; three 
daughters: Miss Nora Holloway, Roanoke, Mrs. Charlie Hollis, Wedowee, and Mrs. 
Arthur Nelson, LaGrange, survive.
