Services for Millard Franklin Huddleston, 72, of Wedowee, Rt. 1, will be today 
at 4 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Dempsey and the 
Rev. Hobart Murphree officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with 
Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The body will be at the funeral 
home until one hour prior to services. Mr. Huddleston died Friday at West 
Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Ga., from injuries received in an automobile 
accident. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eula Mae Huddleston of Wedowee; two 
daughters, Mrs. Crossel Duke of Wedowee and Mrs. Rebecca Bates of Opelika; five 
sons, Earl Huddleston, Brewer Huddleston, Neal Huddleston, Gerald Huddleston and 
Larry Huddleston, all of Wedowee; a brother, Henry Huddleston of Jacksonville; 
19 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wayne Messer, 
Stanley Bean, Jimmy Hill, James Hill, Spence Lee and Jeffrey McCord. Mr. 
Huddleston was a lifelong resident of Randolph County and a fanner. He was a 
textile worker, a member of Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church and Delta 
Lodge 459 F&AM.
