Roanoke Leader
Thomas S. Hurley died here Thursday and was buried Friday afternoon. He leaves a 
wife, three sons and one daughter on this side of the eternal shore. Brother 
Hurley was a member of the church at Haywood, obeyed the gospel several years 
ago. A year ago, he was stricken with a partial loss of the use of one hand, 
afterward the whole arm, then the other arm and finally his entire body became 
paralyzed before he died.
