Services for Pierce D. Hurley, 80, of Roanoke, were today at Welcome Home Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Ridley Herren, the Rev. S.T. Janney and the Rev. Vernon 
Brown officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral 
Home in charge. Mr. Hurley died Wednesday at Randolph County Hospital. Survivors 
include his wife, Mrs. Verna B. Hurley of Roanoke; four daughters, Mrs. Alone 
Driver, Mrs. Betty Williams, Mrs. Rebecca Kirby and Mrs. Deborah Fincher, all of 
Roanoke, a son, Frank Hurley of Roanoke; a sister, Mrs. Bertha McNair of Gadsden; 
a brother, Archie Hurley of College Park, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.
