Mr. Jackson was a salesman at Farmers Mutual Exchange in Carrollton. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, a deacon, and a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Brooksie Miller Jackson; one son, Steve Lee Jackson of Graham; one daughter, Mrs. JoAnn J. Strain of Woodland; five brothers, Kirby Jackson of Lithia Springs, Ga., Ray Jackson, of Bowdon, Roy Jackson of Turlock, Calif., and L. B. Jackson and L. N. Jackson, both of Carrollton; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Swint of College Park, Ga., and Mrs. Frances Irene Grant of Carrollton; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. William N. Entrekin and the Rev. Allen Lawler officiating. Pallbearers were Ray Jackson, L. N. Jackson, Charles Jackson, Winford Miller, Joe Gordon, and Alco Awtrey. The deacons of Shiloh Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.
