A. Jacobs, aged 71, died at her home in West Point Saturday afternoon, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of the First Baptist church, of West Point, and was a member of a family prominent in this section for many years. Before moving to West Point, Mrs. Jacobs had lived in Rome, Ga. Surviving Mrs. Jacobs are a son, Judd Atwood, of Dallas, Texas, and eight stepchildren. Walter Jacobs, of West Point: Ernest Jacobs, of Kentucky; Willie and Henry Jacobs, Mrs. Newell, Mrs. Holliday, and Mrs. Frank Freeman, all of Wehadkee, and Mrs. Martin Powell, of Montgomery, Ala. Funeral services were held at Wehadkee Church Sunday afternoon, Rev. H. H. Shirley officiating, and interment was in the cemetery at that place, Schnedl-Jones, funeral directors, in charge.
