Mr. W. Lowell Johnson, 73, of Wedowee, died Saturday at the Wedowee Hospital 
following a short illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Benefield 
Funeral Home Chapel, Wedowee, with the. Rev. Floyd Carmack and Brother Marvin 
Horsley, officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedowee Masonic Cemetery. Mr. 
Johnson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doris Traylor Johnson of Wedowee; a son, 
William T. Johnson of Griffin, Ga, a brother Howard Johnson, of Panama City, 
Fla. three sisters, Mrs. Eunice Green, of Wedowee, Mrs. Thelma Traylor, of 
Woodland, and Mrs. Flora Johnson, of Mr. Johnson was a former resident of 
LaGrange, Ga. and had lived in Wedowee for the past five years. He was a member 
of the Pine Hill Christain Church and was an automobile salesman in Wedowee. The 
body will remain at the funeral home 2 p.m. Sunday until time of services.
