West Point News
Mrs. Ruth Johnson, wife of W. J. Johnson, Lanett, was buried Sunday following 
funeral services held at the Nazarene church. The rites were conducted by the 
Reverends Wallace Bell and Barney Brumbeloe and interment was in Rock Mills 
cemetery, Johnson and Blakely, funeral directors, in charge. Mrs. Johnin was born 
in Randolph County in 1887 and has been a resident of Lanett since 1934. She had 
been in poor health the past four years but was seriously ill about a week prior 
to her death. She was a member of the Rock Mills Christian church and is survived 
by her husband and three daughters, Mrs. Jack Speaks, Mrs. Nolen Yates, and Miss 
Ethel Johnson of Lanett; three sons, John F., Page and Mage, all of Lanett.
