Johnson, 97, of 2200 West D., St. died expectedly Thursday at 5:45 p.m., at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., at Cool Springs Methodist Church in Randolph County with the Rev. George Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Gray Brown- Service Mortuary in charge. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Pearlie Plemons and Mrs. Maudie Ragsdale of Anniston, Mrs. Edna Smith of Eulaton and Mrs. Velma Calhoun of Wedowee; four sons, Johnny of Gadsden; Gaston of Boaz, Wilborn of Wedowee and Lester of Oxford; one sister, Mrs. Rosie Mitchum of Heflin, 28 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and eight great-great- grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Johnson, a resident of Anniston for five years, was a former resident of Randolph County and a member for 50 years of Cool Springs Methodist Church.
