He was seventy-six years old, and leaves a wife and a numerous family of children and grand-children mourning his loss. If the grim reaper wields his scepter with the same accuracy among the aged of our community the next twelve months as he has in the last twelve, who of us will be left? How can I refrain from realizing my jeopardy when comrades in the same ranks are falling among me constantly? Where [is there] more need of an incentive to make one’s calling and election sure? G. O.
