"Lum" Key, 86, of Wedowee, Rt. 1, died Wednesday at an Anniston hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest No. 2 Baptist Church in Randolph County with the Revs. Bill Turley, Joe and Bobby Williamson officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Adrell Key of Wedowee; four daughters, Mrs. Rosa Thomas and Mrs. Bessie Bearden, both of Anniston, Mrs. Eunice Ogle of Heflin and Mrs. Velma Slaton of Blue Mountain; three sons, Dean Key of Wedowee, S. W. Key of Heflin and Wallace Key of Anniston; two brothers, Irvin Key of Dorn, Ga. and Wilk Key of Heflin; 21 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Morgan Bearden, Kenny Buckhanan, David Jones, Jess Blanks, Jimmy Mize and Charles Lumpkin. Mr. Key was a native of Randolph County and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. The body will lie in state at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary until one hour before services.
