Funeral services for Welk B. Key, 73, retired farmer who died Saturday, were to 
be held at 2 p.m. today at Corinth Methodist Church, Randolph County. The Rev. 
Don Carroll was to officiate. Burial was to be in Corinth Cemetery, Gray Brown-
Service Mortuary was in charge. Mr. Key died at 2 p.m. Saturday at Heflin 
Hospital after a short illness. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Key had resided 
in Micaville Community most of his life. He was a member of Pilgrim's Rest 
Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Novelle Watson of New 
Orleans, La., Mrs. Myrtice Gulley of Newell, and Mrs. Gearlene Stanley of San 
Francisco, Calif.; four sons, Leroy Key and Hubbard Key. both of Atlanta, Ga., 
Edward Key of New Orleans and William Key, of Heflin; a brother, Irvin Key of 
Albany, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
