Mrs. Ardell Key, 91, of 3323 Stephens Ave., Blue Mountain, died Saturday at 
Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. 
at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Randolph County, with the Rev. Chester Swiney 
and the Rev. Hugh Presnell officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery 
with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge. Survivors include four daughters, 
Mrs. Eunice Ogle of Oxford, Mrs. Rosa Thomas, Mrs. Bessie Bearden and Mrs. 
Thelma Slayton, all of Blue Mountain; two sons, C. W. Key, of Heflin and Wallace 
Key of Oxford; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Key was a 
native of Randolph County and had lived in Calhoun County 10 years. She was a 
member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. The body will remain at the funeral home 
until one hour prior to services.
