Roanoke Leader
Mr. Charlie Larkin Key, age 54, passed away at his home, 1 Stone Avenue, Tuesday 
morning, Feb 13. Funeral services were held from the Handley Avenue Baptist 
Church at 3:00 p. m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, with the Rev. E. F. Daniel and the Rev. 
W. W. Lankford as officiating ministers. Interment was in Cedarwood Cemetery 
under the direction of Quattlebaum's Funeral Home. Mr. Key is survived by his 
wife, Mrs. Fannie Pearl Key: one son, Durell of Osceola, Ark.; two daughters, 
Mrs. H. C. Cunningham and Miss Lathan Key of Roanoke; three grandchildren; one 
brother, Leonard Key of Jay, Fla.; and two sisters: Miss Esther Key and Mrs. Mack 
Kirby of Roanoke.
