Key, 89, of Wedowee, Rt. 1, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. Leron Murphy and the Rev. Dorsey White officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The body will be at the funeral home until an hour before services. Mrs. Key died Saturday at Lineville Nursing Facility. Survivors include six daughters Mrs. Flora Brewer of Ashland, Mrs. Nora Craft, Mrs. Marie Humphrey and Mrs. Naomi Hill, all of Wedowee, Mrs. Ethel Vital and Mrs. Betty Hendricks, both of Huntsville; four sons, Lincoln Key, Harold Key and Billy Ray Key, all of Wedowee, and Basil Key of Anniston; three sisters, Mrs. Cora McDonald, Mrs. Vera Gregg, and Mrs. Era Waldrop, all of Lineville; two brothers, Clauda East of Bessemer and Grady East of Ashland; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren Pallbearers will be Wendell Key, Billy Brewer, Timothy Key, Junior Fincher, Lloyd Craft, James Humphrey, Kenneth Holloway and Harry Fincher. Mrs. Key was a native and life-long resident of Randolph County. She was a housewife and a member of Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church.
