Roanoke Leader
Placed in the county jail at Wedowee and later released on bond was Bud Glenn, 
charged with the fatal shooting of another Roanoke Negro, Tom King, on the night 
of April 1. According to investigating officers, a fight between Bud Glenn and 
Tom King occurred in Glenns house. Glenn succeeded in getting King out of the 
house but shot him with a 22 rifle when he tried to break back in. Funeral 
services for King, who had no relatives here, were conducted by the East Roanoke 
Funeral Home.

Additional Comments:
John W. "Bud" Glenn was charged & convicted of Manslaughter and sent to prison.
