OBITUARIES:

Mrs. Esther Kirby

   (WEDOWEE RT. 3) Mrs. Esther Kirby, age 76, of Rt. 3, Wedowee, passed away in 
a Birmingham hospital Friday, Oct. 22, at 12:30 p.m.
   Mrs. Kirby is survived by two sons, Bruel Kirby of Lakeland, Fla., and John 
Frank Kirby of Wedowee Rt. 3; one daughter, Mrs. Dorsey B. Williams of 
Eastaboga, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Kirby were conducted from Calvary Baptist Church, 
with burial in the Rocky Branch Cemetery.  The Rev. Clyde Hartley officiated.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
[Bertha Esther was preceded in death by her husband, John Shellie Kirby in 
1956.  Her maiden name was Bradley.]
