OBITUARIES:

JONATHON WAYNE KIRBY

   (Woodland)  Jonathon Wayne Kirby, age 25, of Rt. 2 Woodland, died Friday, 
Nov. 23, 1984, at the Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa after a short illness.
   Mr. Kirby was a graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and was 
employed by Taylor Hardin Security Center for Bryce Mental Institution.  He was 
a member of Highway Congregational Methodist Church.
   Mr. Kirby is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ann Kirby of Woodland; two sisters 
Mrs. Cynthia Ann Smith of Ranburne and Miss Paula Lynn Kirby of Woodland; one 
brother, Brantley Kirby of Woodland; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mattie Lou 
Shirey of Rock Mills; and his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Kirby of 
Woodland.
   Funeral services for Mr. Kirby were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at 
Highway Methodist Church with the Rev. Vernon E. Willis officiating.  Burial 
followed in the church cemetery.
   Pallbearers for Mr. Kirby were Kenny Arrington, Thomas Harris, Barry Yates, 
Terry Chambers, Terry Dunlap, Steve Whitaker, Fred Walker, and Bob Fincher.
   Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee was in charge of arrangements.
