OBITUARIES:

KATIE D. KIRBY
   
   (Roanoke)  Mrs. Katie D. Kirby, age 82, of Rt 4 Roanoke, died Sunday March 
22, 1987, in the Traylor Nursing Home, Roanoke.
   Mrs. Kirby is survived by three daughters, Ms. Anne Gabriel, Mrs. Merle 
Boyd, and Mrs. Sylvia Edmondson, all of Roanoke; four sons, Joe Kirby and Todd 
Kirby, both of Roanoke, Alias Kirby of Jacksonville, FL and Burl Kirby of Bay 
Minette; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces 
and nephews.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Kirby were conducted Tuesday afternoon at two 
o'clock from Quattlebaum's Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Johnny Williams 
officiating, with burial in the Taylor's Crossroads Church of Christ Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were David Mitchell, James Watson, Gene Cummings, Ricky Kirby, 
and Nick Gabriel.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

[Katie Odessa is the daughter of Joe Ferrell and ??. She was preceded in death 
by her husband, Curtis Dewey Kirby in 1978.]
