Mrs. Kirby is survived by two daughters; Miss Julia E. Kirby and Mrs. Eulette K. Ward, both of Rt. 1 Roanoke; three sons, George Kirby of Altamonte Springs, Fla., Jimmy Kirby of Rt. 1 Roanoke, and Weyburn Kirby of Rt. 2 Roanoke; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Henderson of Lanett, Mrs. Clyde Wilson of Carrollton, Ga., and Mrs. Pauline Hester of Rt. 4 Roanoke; and three brothers, Durward Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla., Charlie B. Taylor of Rt. 1 Roanoke, and Basil Taylor of Rt. 3 Roanoke. Funeral services for Mrs. Kirby were conducted at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 5, from White's Chapel United Methodist church, the Rev. Larry Stephens and the Rev. Sammy Haynes officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Boe Cobb, Don Quick, James Taylor, Roy Nappier, Bobby Crabtree, and Denvard Johnson. __________ Additional Comments: [Mattie Lou is the daughter of Edgar Marvin Taylor and Nancy Lula Green.
