OBITUARIES:

T. V. KIRBY

   (Roanoke) T. V. Kirby, age 61, of Rt. 3 Roanoke, died Friday, Sept 19 in the 
Randolph County Hospital, Roanoke.
   Mr. Kirby is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Davidson of Roanoke; 
one grandson; his mother, Mrs. Lavara Kirby of Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Sue 
Kirby Tennant of Rt. 2, Wedowee; and one brother Oliver Kirby of LaGrange, GA.
   Funeral services for Mr. Kirby were conducted Sunday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. 
from White's Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Sammy Hayes and Rev. Edward 
Herren officiating.  Burial in the church cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Bill Kirby, Bob Kirby, Rob Kirby, Johnny Tennant, Bill 
Tennant, and Frank Kirby.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home of Roanoke was in charge of 
arrangements.

[Thomas Veril is the son of Emmett Elton Kirby and Lavara Kirby. He was 
preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Sue Shelnutt Kirby in Mar 1984.]
