OBITUARIES:

Willie C. Kirby

   (Roanoke) Willie C. Kirby, age 68, of Rt.3 Roanoke, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 
1983, in Veterans Administration Hospital, Tuskegee.
   Mr. Kirby is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alzada Kirby; two daughters, Mrs. 
Loleta McKendree of Opelika and Mrs. Sharon Roberts of Roanoke; three sons, 
William Kirby of Opelika, Jim Kirby of Roanoke, and Willie C. Kirby, Jr. of 
Wedowee; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. 
Mary Nell Holloway of Woodland; and one brother, J. B. Kirby of Woodland.
   Funeral services for Mr. Kirby were conducted Monday afternoon at two 
o'clock from White's Chapel Methodist Church, the Rev. Larry Stephens 
officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leon Bailey, Douglas Howard, Otis W. Hollis, Ronald W. Foster, 
Raymond Roberts, and Marvin Cox.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
