Roanoke Leader
Mrs. Ruby Ann Kitchens of Wedowee Rt. 1, age 65, passed away a; her home Saturday 
afternoon, Oct. 18, at 2:30. Mrs. Kitchens is survived by three sons, Dave Y. and 
Warren Kitchens of Wedowee and Harris Kitchens of Roanoke; five daughters, Mrs. 
Jesse Butler of Pine Hill, Mrs. Hattie Messer and Miss Victoria Kitchens of 
Wedowee, Mrs. Cleo White of Cullman, and Mrs. Mavis Ward of Atlanta; 19 
grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren: one brother, Dave Nobley of Jay, Fla.; 
one sister, Mrs. Ella Wright of Bennington, Okla. Funeral services for Mrs. 
Kitchens were conducted Monday afternoon at two o'clock from the Levins Church, 
the Rev. Wallace Reaves officiating.  Quattlebaum's Funeral Home was in charge.
