Mr. Larders, who resided at 522 Lapsey Ave., was a native of Randolph County and taught school m that county for a number of years. A favorite former pupil of his was former U. S Rep. Kenneth Roberts. He was in the insurance business from 1924 to 1940 and was a member of the Democratic Executive Committee here until failing health forced his retirement both from the committee and as chief clerk. He was also a former member of the Exchange Club. Mr. Landers is survived by the widow. Mrs. Mamie Lee Landers; one daughter, Miss Helen Pate Landers of Anniston; one son, Wilson Landers of Bishop, Tex., one sister, Mrs. Grady Braswell of Wedowee; two brothers. Idus Landers of Wedowee and Gilbert Landers of Delta, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Parker Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles L. Martin and Dr. B. Locke Davis officiating. Burial win be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph County with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge. Nephews will serve as active pallbearers.
