Roanoke Leader
On Friday p. m., June 13th, death visited the home of Mr. Ben Laney and took his 
wife. Mrs. Laney had been in bad health for some time and was confined to her bed 
about two months before death came. She bore her sufferings patiently. She was a 
member of the Missionary Baptist church at Providence and lived a Christian life 
at home before her children. At the time of her death she resided near Bowdon, 
Ga. Funeral and interment occurred June 14 at 2 o'clock at her home church, 
Providence, where she was well known and loved by all. The services were in 
charge of Revs. Aderholt and J. T. Smith.  A Friend.
