Anniston Star
Services for James Edward Lashley, 69, of Wadley were today at 3 p.m. at New Hope 
West Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Sledge officiating. Burial was in the 
adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Lashley died 
Sunday at Randolph County Hospital in Roanoke following a short illness. 
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clarice Lashley of Wadley; two brothers, Bob 
Lashley and Bill Lashley, both of Wadley; and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Elliott of 
Birmingham and Mrs. Ruby Pugh of Tuscaloosa.
