Mrs. Julia Ann Lipham, of Wedowee Rt. 1, died at her home on Thursday, Sept. 1, 
at 6:30 p. m. Mrs. Lipham, 75, was the widow of the late Simon S. Lipham. She was 
a native of Randolph County. Survivors include four sons: T. V. Lipham, of Fyffe, 
Ala., J. C. Lipham, of Wedowee, Iller Lipham, and Grady Boggs; three daughters: 
Miss Vera Boggs, of Wedowee, Mrs. Ellen Smith, and Mrs. Emma Holloway; 39 
grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; two 
brothers and one sister. Funeral services, at 2:30 Friday afternoon, were 
conducted by the Rev. A. A. Williamson and the Rev. J. P. Bean at Valley Grove 
Church, with interment following in the church cemetery. Quattlebaum's Funeral 
Home directed.
