Roanoke Leader
On Friday morning, Dec. 17, George Cephus Lipham, 81, died at his home at Newell, 
Rt. 1. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lipham is survived by two sons, William, of 
Newell, and J. W., of Roanoke; and four daughters: Mrs. J. T. McCord and Mrs. J. 
H. Lovvorn, of Lineville, Mrs. I. N. Stewart, of Roanoke, and Mrs. Rex Cofield, 
of Delta. Officiating ministers at the funeral held Saturday afternoon at Union 
Church were the Rev. Mr. Sheets, Rev. J. P. Bean, and Rev. F. E. Allums. 
Interment was in the church cemetery, Quattlebaum's Funeral Home directing.
