Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Reaves Lipham, 86, of Newell, Rt 1., were 
held Monday at Union Baptist Church with the Dempsey Noles and Ray Runyan 
officiating Burial was in the adjacent cemetery with Quattlebaum's Brown-Service 
Funeral Home in charge. She is survived by two sons, Joe Lee Lipham of 
Charleston, S. C, and Dellis Lipham of Newell, Rt. 1., four daughters, Mrs. Minda 
Haynes and Mrs. Ellie Stewart, both of Roanoke, and Mrs. Elmer Vowell and Mrs. 
Cindy Hall, both of Newell, Rt. 1; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, 
and one sister, Mrs. L. F. McLeroy of Newell, Rt. 1. Mrs. Lipham was a lifelong 
resident of Randolph County and a member of Union Baptist Church.
