Charles Chester Lyner Newell, Rt. 1, died Thursday at Ga., 4:40 p.m. at his 
residence after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. 
at Morrison's Chapel Methodist Church with the Revs. Orris Cavender and Ernest 
Lipham officiating, He is survived by the widow Ester Lyner of Newell, one 
brother, Arthur Lvner of Wedowee. Active pallbearers will be Joe, Dewey and John 
Bible, Dean Phillips, Cleveland and Hoyt Haynes.  Mr. Lyner was a member of the 
Pinetucky Baptist Church and a native of Lee County, he was also a retired 
farmer. The body will lie in slate at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary until one hour 
before the services.
