Anniston Star
Services for Ermit Dewey Maddox, 72, of; Delta, Rt. 1, were today at Union Hill 
Christian Church, with the Rev. Dorsey White and the Rev. Gordon Taylor 
officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Brock Funeral Home of Clay 
County in charge. Mr. Maddox died Saturday at his residence. Survivors include a 
sister, Miss Lessie Maddox of Delta, and a brother Arlie Maddox of Pisgah. 
Pallbearers were Roy Sheppard, Terry Sheppard, Sylvia Maddox, Gaither Neal, 
Brinton East and Newt Wakefield. Mr. Maddox was a native and lifelong resident of 
Randolph County. He was a retired farmer and a member of Wesley Chapel Christian 
Church.
