Services for Perry Q. Maddox, 79, of Delta will be today at 2 p.m. at Union Hill 
Congregational Methodist Church with Revs. Jerry Edge and Bill Mitchell 
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in 
charge. Mr. Maddox died Monday at Clay County Nursing Home. Survivors include two 
daughters, Rebecca Jane McDonald of Lineville and Diane Clark of Delta; a sister, 
Etheleen Sheppard of Lineville; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. 
Pallbearers will be Terry Sheppard, Don Sheppard, Jeff Fuller, Stanley Clarke and 
Stephen McDonald. Mr. Maddox was a native of Randolph County and a former 
resident of Birmingham. He served in the Navy, was a truck driver for Sentell Oil 
Company and was a Baptist.
