Roanoke Leader
Mr. Curtis Leon Maddox passed away at his home here Tuesday, July 25, at 3 p. m. 
following an extended illness. The funeral services were held from the Union Hill 
Church Wednesday afternoon, July 26, at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Lee Arthur and 
the Rev. Mr. Shoemaker in charge. Interment was in the church cemetery under the 
direction of Roanoke Funeral Home. Mr. Maddox is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Frances Thomas Maddox; one son, Curtis Maddox Jr.; three brothers: Sylvia and 
Quinton Maddox of Delta and Cecil Maddox of Birmingham; and two sisters, Mrs. 
Eulene White and Miss Etheleen Maddox of Delta.
